This is by far my most favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in the Richmond area. The fajitas are to die for, and the rest of the menu is not bad at all. I am a big fan of the top shelf margaritas. Love the atmosphere and service we receive. I've never had a complaint. This is an awesome place to meet up for after work drinks and some appetizers to catch up with each other and have a few laughs. Highly recommend.
I have been here twice and honestly everything has been amazing from the service to the food. I cannot express how impressed I have been with my visits. I live an hour away and will definitely continue to come out this way to enjoy this spot. A MUST TRY....
Best Tex Mex we've had out here yet! So close to home and the ambiance is great, it's lively and always playing music and sports. Family friendly and great for a date night. We usually order the fajitas and their margs have different variety of flavors. The customer service is on point here! Highly recommend. Shout out to BB Jordan she was our server and she recommended a few great things in the menu that we tried!
Red River Cantina has been one of my favorite restaurants for a while now. It has lots of available seating, and the interior is decorated nicely, with lights strewn along the ceiling, antlers on the wall, and plants in elaborately detailed pots. The service here is great, and our waiter tonight was very friendly and helpful. After ordering our food, we didn't have to wait long, and the food came out much quicker than usual. The food here is delicious and filling. I ordered the Brisket Enchiladas, two enchiladas filled with warm brisket and topped with sour cream, a subtle barbecue sauce, and chopped-up avocado. The sauce combination is surprisingly sweet, and it mixes perfectly with the brisket. The chicken fajita quesadillas are one of my favorite dishes, as they are very cheesy with chunks of chicken inside the warm tortillas. One great feature of the restaurant is that the salsa is always warm, contrary to the usual cold salsa. They also bring out a tasty green sauce upon request, in which you can dip the warm, crunchy chips. Overall, this is a restaurant that you must try, and don't forget to grab a mint on your way out!
I had the tacos al carbon and thought they were wonderful! The beef was full of flavor, and the homemade tortillas were fresh, warm and delicious. My husband had the fish tacos, and he loved them. An outstanding young man, named Dakota Lloyd provided us with excellent service. He was friendly, attentive, and it was a pleasure to visit with him during our meal. We will definitely return and will order the tres leches cake next time!
My friends and I had dinner here a few days ago. The server Josh was extremely courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. The fajitas are my personal favorite with just the right amount of flavor and tenderness. The cilantro rice is tasty and served hot.

I had a great experience at this Red River Cantina Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious � the fajitas were sizzling and full of flavor, and the homemade tortillas made all the difference. Our waiter, Dakota, did an outstanding job. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. His service really made the experience even better. Been here only one time prior, was immediately greeted with a fist bump from Tyler the manager who took care of us last time. Made to feel like we mattered. The food was amazing, got combo fajitas for 2, queso was amazing! Also you have got to try the Habanero salsa if you want an extra kick! Tea was fresh and the tortillas were hot and... you guessed it... amazing! Great place great staff, definitely worth visiting!

The service was top-notch and our server, Makenna, was particularly outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was also fantastic. We ordered the fajitas which were perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The mojitos were refreshing and the perfect complement to our meal. And, of course, we couldn't resist the sopapillas for dessert - they were simply divine. Overall, I highly recommend Red River Cantina.

A good experience at a restaurant starts with your server. Desiree was ours. She was as good as it gets. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. Then came the food and it was so good we were "clean plate club" as full as we were, we still had some kinda sopapillas that was off the charts.
Edited review!!! Previously we had a terrible experience one that left me not wanting to go back. Today we gave it another try and were pleasantly surprised. The service was above and beyond. The restaraunt looked immaculate. The food was better than usual and our waiter Luke was the absolute most attentive person. Everything was exactly as asked for and we definitely will go back. Truly an amazing turn around.

Best Tex Mex I've had in a while. Warm tortillas, DELICIOUS empanada appetizers, and the tableside guac was AMAZING. Our waiter Josh had amazing recommendations and it does not disappoint. Can't wait to come back!
Decided on a whim to stop in today during my lunch break. First impression on the outside is great!! Walked in and was greeted immediately! A couple of servers stopped in the middle of what they were doing to greet me and wish me a good meal. You can tell the culture there was amazing!! My server was Jack! He was an incredible server! Attentive but not to the point where he was hovering. Made great suggestion on the menu items since it was my first time in!! I got the pollo marisco and it was AMAZING!!! My only regret is only ordering one!! I should have ordered two. Great food and great atmosphere! I'll definitely be back!
I visited this restaurant for the first time today with my mother I have to say was very impressed. Our waiter Adrian was so friendly and gave great recommendations on the menu. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend giving this place a visit.
